Sir,
With reference to lar office letter 10/2476 (F.l.) dated 19th March, 1918, I am commanded by the Army Council to send you the enclosed statements (marked "A" and "") showing the cost of the Garrison of Hong Kong in the Financial Year 1917/18 and the Military Contribution in respect of that
period.
It will be seen that the cost to Imperial Funds was approximately £20,192 in excess of the contribution paid by the Colony.
